Carly Madison Taylor is an essayist, poet, and songwriter born in Placerville, CA and raised in and around Boulder, CO. They earned their BA in Creative Writing and Dance Studies from Knox College in 2016. Since, they've become a notorious wanderer, living in Bellingham, WA, Galesburg, IL, and Orange, CA, and currently residing in Buffalo, NY.

While at Knox College, they were a finalist for the Nick Adams Short Story Contest, but focused their coursework primarily on creative nonfiction, poetry, and choreography. Their writing has appeared in several magazines and can be found in the "Read" tab on this site.

Carly's essays "Lungs" (published by Blanket Sea Magazine) and "Windows" (published by Vamp Cat Magazine) were both nominated for the 202o Pushcart Prize.
